Join the Boca Raton Museum of Art for “Artists on Art,” featuring “Stories in Clay: Sculpting the Figure” with Leda Almar on January 17, 2026!
You’re invited to experience the Museum through the eyes of an artist. This engaging series of talks, tours, and live demonstrations showcases the talent of South Florida’s creative community, offering fresh perspectives, personal stories, and behind-the-scenes insights that bring the art to life.
Sculptor Leda Almar will lead a demonstration into her creative process of working with clay. Rather than adhering to a rigid plan, she lets intuition guide her hands, exploring the material until forms begin to emerge. Often, a figure quietly reveals itself as the clay whispers its own stories. As shapes unfold, the process becomes a dialogue—playful, surprising, and deeply personal. For Almar, each sculpture is a unique collaboration with the medium, and no two creations are ever the same.
