Alastair Willis: Grammy-nominated Alastair Willis maintains a busy guest conducting schedule with major orchestras across the USA and around the world. Currently, he serves as Music Director of the South Bend Symphony Orchestra. A brilliant musician, Mr. Willis is known for his strong podium presence and engaging and attractive personality; his appearances with The Symphonia are audience favorites.
Kojiro Umezaki: Noted by The New York Times as a "virtuosic, deeply expressive shakuhachi player and composer" and the LA Times as one of the "better kept secrets of Southern California music," Kojiro Umezaki (梅崎康二郎) continues to seek new musical homes for the shakuhachi, an end-blown bamboo flute with centuries of history in Japan.
