Join the Boca Raton Museum of Art for “Make & Muse: iPhoneography” on April 11, 2026!
Sharpen your eye and learn how to elevate your family and travel photos during this hands-on workshop for adults. The program begins with a spotlight tour of Eduardo Chacon: Postcards From Nowhere, using works from the exhibition to explore core elements of photography, including light, composition, contrast, and point of view.
Following the gallery experience, photographer and Art School Instructor Jerry Ginsberg will lead a 90-minute presentation focused on creating stronger images with the camera you already carry in your pocket. Participants will learn foundational principles of effective image-making—drawing inspiration from photographers such as Ansel Adams, Joe Lange, and Henri Cartier-Bresson—along with practical strategies for getting closer to your subject, framing more intentionally, and seeing more deliberately. The workshop will introduce useful features of iPhone 16 and 17 camera software. While iPhones will be discussed, the concepts apply to many camera phones. No prior photography experience required.
