British pianist Harriet Cohen (1895-1967) enjoyed a celebrated career as a classical concert pianist and was described by Albert Einstein as “The Beloved Piano-Witch.” She was a magnetic woman and intimate friend and lover to multiple luminaries of her era. This lecture-performance by pianist extraordinaire and Lynn University professor Roberta Rust provides informative commentary about her illustrious life, interwoven with performance of piano music by composers she championed. Pieces including Johann Sebastian Bach, Arnold Bax, Manuel de Falla, and Béla Bartók are featured.
