Join The Boca Raton Historical Society on September 10, 2025, for its latest Town Hall Talk: “The Redcoats are Coming: The British Soldier During the American Revolution,” featuring Robert Feeney!

The Town Hall Talks series invites attendees to enjoy thought-provoking presentations by leading historians, curators, and experts in Boca Raton’s original Town Hall.

Delve into the life and role of the British Redcoat during the American Revolutionary War. We will examine the structure, training, and equipment of soldiers in His Majesty’s army, highlighting their strict discipline, combat experience, and military culture. The session will also cover the standard issue gear and weapons carried by a typical Redcoat - including the iconic red uniform, Brown Bess musket and daily rations. Through historical analysis and material culture, we’ll uncover the realities of service in a global empire and the challenges faced by British troops on American soil.

Doors open at 6:00 PM for check-in and refreshments.
Lecture begins at 6:30 PM.
