Fritz Lang’s 1927 masterpiece Metropolis is the ultimate sci-fi pioneer—a towering, visually stunning epic of a dystopian world split in two. High above, wealthy elites live in breathtaking luxury; deep below, an army of oppressed workers slave away to keep the city's massive heart beating.

This isn't just a movie screening; it’s a live sonic experience. Legendary silent film pianist Peter Tavalin will accompany the film live, bringing over thirty years of improvisational mastery to the keyboard. Instead of the typical vintage piano tracks, Peter utilizes a modern synthesizer to weave a gripping, contemporary score that pulses seamlessly with the onscreen action—heightening every dramatic twist, comic beat, and breathtaking visual.
